Ryley Jayde

This is the three week old baby of one of my sister's friends. She is very cute as you can see and was born with a full head of dark black hair. A couple of weeks ago they came over and we used a large white comforter to place her on and use as a backdrop. She was really well behaved and seemed to really like the focus-assist light on my camera which flashes on and off to help the auto-focus get focused. My sister, Whitney, and the babies mom helped to pose the baby and hold the backdrop up.

Picture was taken with my Canon Rebel XSN on Kodak Tri-X 400 ISO film. So far this is my least favorite film out of all the black and white film I have used. It doesn't seem to have as good of a contrast range as the Fuji Neopan ISO 100 or Ilford HP5 ISO 400. Film processed by me and then scanned from negative by a local photo developer.

I used Photoshop CS to adjust the Brightness/Contrast, color the bow, crop, and frame the image.
